OF THE 2011 ALBUM "TIME OF SLAUGHTERS" JUST BELOW
AMETHYST is a band from Palermo Italy, formed in 2007. The band is composed of Antonino Lo Monaco (guitar & vocals), Alessandro Catalana (drums), Edoardo Priano (lead guitar) and Silvio Lo Monaco (bass).
In 2008, they recorded their first self-produced demo, entitled "Justice is Done",
containing the title track along with 2 other songs: "Time of Slaughters" and "Welcome to Hell". The song "Welcome to Hell" was included with the 2008 release of "Kill City vol.17" - a compilation produced by 272 records and broadcasted on 26 different radio stations from the US.
In 2009, the full demo has been broadcasted on several radio stations all around Europe. The song "Time of Slaughters" was aired during Gods Of Metal 2009.
In early 2010, Amethyst signed with Insano Booking Agency, who gives a vision and oppertunity for the band to engage in world tours. In late 2010, in only one week, these four metalheads recorded their first full length album entitled "Time Of Slaughters". The master recording of this album contains 9 songs that should please both old and new school thrash fans as the band create a weapon of mass destruction.
