Dystopia is the latest release to be forged by the heavy metal band Iced Earth. With Into Eternity's Stu Block handling vocal duties, Jon Schaffer has found a renewed energy and the result is something that reminds me of the Dark Saga meets Something Wicked. Enough balls to define the word metal and the right amount of spice to add depth and dynamics to create what truly is an album to be reckoned.

Back in 2006, Toronto, Canada's Mastery released Lethal Legacy, a technically sound instrumental old school thrash metal album minus the vocals. Fast forward to 2011, regroup and reload with MARKUS ARMELLINI (guitar) continuing the song writing process and adding an entire new element to the fold - yes, Mastery are now with a vocalist, the legendary BILLY MILANO (SOD, MOD). Completing the line-up is MIKE HARSHAW (drums), TIM CASTERLINE (bass), Kelly FITZSIMONS (lead guitar). Mastery have been hard at work on new material and plan a release late summer 2011.
